LegalBeta termsclosed beta

Beta terms,in plain words.

The terms of the PluraFusion closed beta. They are short on purpose.

Last updated 1 November 2026

English only for now; a German version follows.

What these terms are

These terms are an agreement between you and Benjamin Tanzer, PluraFusion, Bienerstraße 20, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria (“we”; see the Impressum). They cover the PluraFusion closed beta: the beta software, its beta licence, your PluraFusion account and the services that come with it — reports, teams and shared projects — and your taking part. You accept them when you apply. The application form sums them up:

“… commercial use is allowed without warranty, and the beta licence ends on paid-launch day, falling back to the free Viewer.”

The rest of this page fills in the details.

Free, and by invitation

  • The beta is free of charge.
  • Taking part is by invitation. We choose participants ourselves; applying does not give you a place.
  • You can stop taking part at any time. We can end your participation, or the beta, at any time; we tell you by email.

Your account

  • In the closed beta you sign in with the address we invited. An account is for one person: do not share it.
  • Keep your sign-in links and codes to yourself. A sign-in link works once, for 15 minutes. Confirm a sign-in of the application only for your own computer.
  • If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at once. On the account page you can sign out everywhere else.
  • You can delete your account at any time on the account page.

Your beta licence

  • You may use the beta for your own work, including commercial work.
  • The licence belongs to your account. You can use it on up to 3 computers; to add another, remove one on the account page.
  • Each computer has to reach our service from time to time to renew the licence. If it has not for 14 days, it runs as the free Viewer until it can.
  • The beta licence ends on the day of the paid launch, and at the latest on 30 June 2027. We announce the paid launch at least 30 days ahead.
  • From then on, the application falls back to the free Viewer. Your files still open.

Pre-release software

The beta is unfinished. It may contain errors, crash, give wrong results or lose data, and features may change or disappear from one build to the next. Keep backups of your data, and check results before you rely on them.

Reports and feedback

  • The application sends no usage data. It sends a crash report only if you turn crash reports on in the application, and even then it asks after each crash.
  • A problem report or an idea is sent only when you press Send; the dialog shows exactly what goes. What a report contains, and how long we keep it, is in the privacy notice.
  • We may use your feedback — reports, comments, ideas and suggestions — free of charge to improve PluraFusion. Crash dumps and screenshots can show parts of your work; we use them only to find and fix the problem.
  • We may answer you about a report by email.

Shared projects

  • You can publish projects to a team, invite people and share links. You are responsible for what you upload and share, and for whom you share it with.
  • Upload and share only data you may use and pass on: your own, or data whose licence allows it. Nothing unlawful.
  • Anyone who has a share link can open what it shares, within the limits you set — password, expiry, allowed addresses, download. Revoke a link once it is no longer needed.
  • A project belongs to its team. The team's owner and admins decide who may see and change it, and may delete it.
  • In a live session, everyone in the project sees your name and what you do in it.

Warranty and liability

  • Because the beta is free and unfinished, it comes without warranty, as far as the law allows.
  • We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury, and under the Austrian Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
  • For damage caused by slight negligence we are not liable, as far as the law allows.
  • If you are a consumer, you keep the rights that the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (Konsumentenschutzgesetz, KSchG) and other mandatory consumer law give you. Nothing in these terms limits them.

Your data

How we handle your application and any other personal data is set out in the privacy notice.

Law and courts

  • Austrian law applies, without its rules on the conflict of laws. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection that the mandatory law of the country where you live gives you.
  • If you are a business, the court with jurisdiction over the subject matter in Innsbruck decides disputes.
  • If you are a consumer, the courts the law provides for decide — if you live, usually stay or work in Austria, those of that place (§ 14 KSchG).
